Before our next meeting: Neighborhood Flower Planting day, May 1 The City of Everett has supported our neighborhood improvements and with your help we can make the area even better at this year’s flower planting event. SLAC has been asking for assistance from local businesses, neighbors, and members to donate materials and/or volunteer time to plant the new containers and streetscape bedding throughout the area with yellow flowers and perennial evergreen foliage. Last year we added 6 concrete planters, 2 corridor sign planter beds, and several corner bedding areas along 19th Ave. SE. This year we will replant and clean up these areas.
Come help as a volunteer! We’ll meet around 9am at Solid Rock Coffee at 10025 19th Ave. We’ll work from 9am to about noon. Tools and planting materials will be available, and feel free to bring your own. Call SLAC chairperson David Chrisman for more details at 425-530-2722. Donations for planting materials can be made out to “S.L.A.C.” and mailed to 3312 115th Pl. SE, Everett, 98208.
